Yusuf Bassir is a model and a budding actor. I had a conversation with him, enjoy the read.
How did you start your career?
I started my career when I was in the fire brigade, I did some fitness modeling. Last year I decided to start modeling again and through modeling I got into acting. My ambition to be a model is quickly turning into acting as currently I am getting more acting jobs then modeling.
What movies have you worked in?
I have been in 2 feature films coming out next year; The Black Prince and Guy Ritchie’s new film The Knights of the Round Table : King Arthur. I am fairly new to acting and have only really been doing it less than 6 months however in that short time I have appeared on TV shows Made in Chelsea and Ninja Warrior and commercial/interactive game for Poker Stars.
What message would you like to give to other people who wish to join showbiz?
Advice to anyone looking to break into Tv/Film work: invest bit of time in setting up a good profile on websites such as Starnow which is a great source for Tv/Film/modeling work. That’s how I started out.
