Chantelle Pidgley  is a British model and a beauty and fashion blogger. I had a conversation with her, enjoy reading and be inspired.

Who is Chantelle Pidgley in her own words?

I would say I am a caring and compassionate person and friend, honest and loyal. I always try to look at the positive side of things, whatever the situation may be. I am ambitious and when I wake up every morning my aim is to achieve one ‘positive’ aim with my day. I dream big and work hard and believe the most important thing is to never give up.

How did you land into modelling?

I started modelling at the age of 18 years old when i was at school. I was scouted on the king’s road while shopping with my mum one day. I decided to go for it, but I only started working full time when I left school.

What do you enjoy the most. blogging or modelling?

I love modelling because it give you an insight into the fashion world and I have always loved fashion, since the first time my mum let me dress myself. I have met so many amazing people through modelling and traveled around the world to some beautiful places. Blogging is different because, as a blogger, you can be more experimental and personal, there are no limits because it is all about you who you are and everything you love and want to share. I couldn’t say which one I enjoy more although I love blogging because you see women all shapes and sizes and I think beauty is when you see true authenticity. Bloggers are opening up the fashion industry to a more realistic idea of women that the younger generations can look up to; that’s what inspired me to start blogging.

Did you always want to be a model?

I didn’t always want to be a model when I was younger I wanted to be an actress because I loved performing but the modelling world was so new and exciting and I never looked back.

What brands have you worked for and which one was the best experience?

I have worked for brands such as River Island, Brora, Chenai, Pink Piranha Boutique. My favorite shoots have always been on location because i love travelling and visiting new places. There is always somewhere new or different you can experience.

If you were not a model, what would you be?

If I was not a model I would maybe be a photographer or personal stylist because I love making people feel and look beautiful. Or a vet *she laughs* because I love animals. I’ve had numerous pets growing up from hamsters to horses. At the moment I have two gorgeous cats, Coco and Billie, living with me in London.

How do you unwind from a tiring day?

I unwind in a hot bubble bath with candles and a mud face mask and hair mask. Pampering sessions, love them. I mean who doesn’t! Either that or any series of Friends.

What is Victoria’s Secret?

Victoria’s secret is the power of women. Some women sometimes forget about our innate ability to be strong. Sometimes we lose confidence and belief in ourselves. Victoria’s secret is the union of women, because a confident woman is beautiful.

Do you plan to become an actress?

Acting is always something I wanted to pursue and perhaps I will again but modelling was my full time job when I left school and I loved it. Although I am not perusing an acting career at this moment in my life I am still referred to as a drama queen by my nearest and dearest.

What message would you like to give to other girl who want to become a model?

For those girls who would like to become a model I would say that whether or not you are branded a ‘model’ or signed with an agency doesn’t define you or how beautiful you are. Modelling can be tough and I have learnt to take people’s opinions of me with a ‘pinch of salt’. As long as you are prepared for the negatives then I would say don’t make the same mistake as me and turn up to your first casting with bright pink lipstick (I was going through my Amber Rose phase). Always have clean hair, nails and minimal, natural makeup. Be yourself and show your personality because clients are looking to rebook the girls who are easy to work with. Good luck!

  1. Chantelle is a beautiful and creative model! I had the pleasure of having her pose for me a few weeks ago and I booked her to come back again to VENTH Studio London yesterday to help one of my student photographers realise his vision as well.

It is rare these days to find a model that has absolute trust in the photographers vision and will go above and beyond to help a the team achieve it.

Great interview of a truly great girl 😉

  2. I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme? Superb work!
