Today I’m happy and I’m sad.

I am happy because after 6 years I have left my job to become a full time blogger, mother and wife. I am happy that now my complete attention will be on my child and his upbringing. I am happy because today I have seen the real face of some people that I worked so closely with.Unlike the true fashion of my company I had no leaving lunch or leaving drinks. One of my dear colleagues that I was not as close as others, bought me flowers and card. She took me out for dinner with her husband, also our colleague along with 2 other colleagues. I am very happy that they came and made my evening very special. Sometimes people you think are not very close to you, people you do not see or speak to every single day, turn out to be your life long friends.

I am sad, that even though I have seen the true face of some people, I had expectations. People who do motivational speaking, express their feelings for you, laugh with you, sometimes cry with you, in the end, everything turns out to be fake.

My dearest friend that I had held very close to me, who gave me a nice baby shower, a day I will never forget, totally ignored me during lunch and ditched me in the evening dinner. Now I cannot see her on Face Book which means I have been blocked. The saddest thing for me is, when people choose to go out of my life without saying a single word, not even a teeny tiny ‘goodbye’.

I always tell myself, don’t keep any expectations because expectations are like silent warriors, they make you feel empty from inside and they make you feel worthless, all of which later on might not have any significance in your life, but for the rest of your life you do want to ask them, what exactly had you done to make them feel or do things that they did. What did you do to deserve this kind of a behavior?

I am happy because I am free, free to do whatever I want to do, not what others want me to do.

Do not keep expectations my friends, live your life without depending on others, especially emotionally. People will come and go, what will matter the most are your family, no one else.
