A Day Out Around London Bridge

London Bridge is originally known as Tower Bridge so if you ask a taxi driver to take you to London Bridge, he will take you to the actual London Bridge. You must say Tower Bridge so you reach the actual landmark. This is how I ended up on the wrong bridge and had to walk all the way.

During half term I took the kids to Tower Bridge. My older one, Mustafa, is 6 years old and will soon be turning 7. He is a very curious child and loves to know the history and science behind everything. It was the weekend and the trains weren’t working so we took C2C to Fenchurch Station. We walked from Fenchurch Station, through Tower Bridge and then carried on walking up to London Bridge hotel.

I took this opportunity to take my new Teddy Bear Coat and Ankle Boots for a spin.

On the way we stopped to have some food at Pizza Express. They do halal chicken pizza so it’s always nice to go to Pizza Express. I love the spicy Pollo Forza Pizza. 

After that we walked up to the bridge passing by the famous London Bridge souvenir shop, The Tower of London and River Thames. We took photos on the way and showed Mustafa some boats and tiny ships. We have been on the Thames Cruise once so he had fun recalling his amazing experience. 

There are many places to eat around the bridge and lots of ice cream stalls. 
We walked on the bridge and crossed over to Butlers Wharf. I remember being on a bloggers Thames Cruise once and we had taken the boat from Butlers Wharf. 

Its quite a secluded area so there’s lots of room to take photos without anyone photo bombing. There’s also a lot of space for the kids to run around. 

We then stopped at the Cafe Paradiso to have some coffee and biscuits. I love small cafes in London as opposed to franchise coffee places.

We took a walk around the area. You can also visit the Tower Bridge Museum. It has some great information on the history of Tower Bridge.
