Bath Spa UK: A Trip

This Easter, my lovely little brown fam decided to take  a trip to Bath and Stonehenge. We booked a room in Holiday Inn in Bristol which to my surprise was not as good as Travel Lodge. The only good thing about it was that it had free WiFi, free parking and breakfast was included. Oh well, shouldn’t complain then should I?

Bristol was quite boring apart from the Next Clearance shop which was the highlight of my tour but although it was exciting, I did not get the chance to shop in it. (dang! I know).

After lazying around in the hotel and having lunch at halal Nandos on the day we arrived, the next day we drove to Bath. I always wanted to visit Bath for its Roman architecture and especially the Roman Baths. It was easy to find the parking, thanks to Tom Tom! We parked for 4 hours so we had ample time to see the Roman Baths. The ticket was £15 (rounded off figure), I thought that was way too expensive, but there was a whole museum in there which was quite exciting. One suggestion i would give is, you will need ample time, like 3 hours to see Roman Baths only (if you are a history freak like me) so unless you have whole day, don’t buy saver tickets (£20) to Victorian Museum and Fashion Museum because I just wasted my money.

Like always, I felt very nostalgic being in there wondering, this place was once used 2000 years ago, wow and like them, we will one day be history too (err!).

The only thing I disliked about the trip was that everywhere, I had to change the ISO of my camera because the sun was coming and going. I’ll blame that on my lack of knowledge of DSLR Cameras. (But oh I own one so I am a photographer *sarcasm on the loose*)

In a nutshell, its a beautiful city, with old bridges, parks and buildings. Great to go and spend a day. We ended our day with Dinner at Jimmy’s Buffet, we had Indian food which was just OK (its hard to impress a good cook like me, eh) For those of you who eat halal food, there are many halal places in Bath so not to worry.
