Afternoon Tea in London at ‘sketch’ Mayfair

afternoon tea in london

Afternoon Tea in London: An amazing way to feel posh and pampered is to go out for an afternoon tea. It helps you relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones while you have some assorted tastes at the same time.

Having an afternoon tea in London was on my mind for quite some time. It was a beautiful day in London. The word perfect is an understatement and you know, a perfect day under the British sky means: the sun was out, the temperatures were high and people were out and about on London’s streets. Regents Street to be precise.

Just off Regent’s street, on Conduit street, is a very happening place for afternoon tea in London. Its called sketchI was invited for a complimentary afternoon tea for 2 so I decided to contact Joanne Hegarty to accompany me. It was a perfect company just like the day itself.

Joanne is a stylist based in London and she blogs at The Stylist And The Wardrobe.

sketch is just a 3-4 minutes walk from Oxford Circus station (might be quicker if you’re not wearing brand new lace pumps on the day haha!)

Upon entering you will be welcomed by someone at the reception, who will guide you to your place of interest. Followed by a unique pink coloured cloak room where you can hand over your coat and other belongings. Things you might not need while you want to concentrating on your afternoon tea.

You will then enter The Glade and then into The Gallery.

Finally all about the food now! Be prepared as you must be on an empty stomach when you decide to have an afternoon tea at sketch because the food is a lot. Totally worth your money!

The finger sandwiches were oh so yummy. I cannot place one as my favourite as they were all so good!

The mozzarella and pesto panini

The green asparagus, cucumber and ricotta

The egg and mayo, quail egg and caviar

The smoked salmon

All were finger lickingly delicious! And the desserts were also fabulous!

The most instagrammed toilets. Yes, they belong to sketch! There were people in the toilet area so I tried not to invade anyone’s privacy. You can find more images on Instagram, just search for  #sketchlondon.

A cute little shop with tea sets and all you need for an afternoon tea!

You can always take the left overs away. Yes you can save the leftovers for another time instead of wasting it.

The only thing you can’t take away are the sandwiches and thats for health and safety reasons.

(Just tucked in my scarf for a bit but I promise the bag was full of food!)
