City break could be so many things. It could be a romantic weekend escape with the love of your life. A family break away to explore a new culture and learns some new things. Maybe you like to travel on your own.

For whatever reason I think most people love a city break. It’s not too long or too short. It’s just the right time to have a bit of fun and take yourself out of normal daily life. Whatever the reason is for going there are a few essentials that should be packed each time.

Sensible shoes

When you are on a city break, you want to make the most of all the time you have there. So that means you will be out exploring from the word go. It’s advisable to pack some shoes you can walk comfortably in for long periods of time. The last thing you want is blisters and sore feet after the first few hours. You won’t enjoy the rest of your break that way.

A special outfit

You have to pack a special outfit for your last night. It’s normally the night you choose to go to the best restaurants, or have a few drinks out. So really think about what you want to wear. This could be a nice skirt and top combination, or perhaps pack a selection of Tunic Dresses to choose from. If you are going somewhere a little cooler then why not think about a smart jeans and jacket outfit. Take some time to plan your outfits and think about what you would like to wear and when. You may need to travel light so bear that in mind.

A good bag

It’s advisable to take with you a good bag. One that can fit all your essentials in it. You may have to carry around with you your passport, a purse, money. Amongst some of the other holiday essentials like a camera and mobile phone. A bag can also be a stylish accessory so make sure it’s something that goes with the clothes you are packing. Something practical would always be advisable so a having a shoulder strap would be advisable. You won’t want to be holding something in your hand all the time.

Sunglasses

If you are going somewhere sunny, then it’s advisable to pack a pair of sunglasses with you. This is so you not only look stylish but your eyes a protected to. Especially if your eyes will be wandering taking in all the sights and attractions. A pair of sunglasses can be the perfect accessory to any outfit so choose wisely. Pack a pair that is comfortable to wear and fit well.

A city guide

The last essential would be to pack a travel guide. This is so you get the most out of you limited time at your destination. Sometimes it’s easy to miss some of the incredible sights and experiences on hand. A good guide book will always tell you the best places to go and a little background history to keep it interesting.

I hope this guide helps you the next time you pack for a city break.
