GlossyBox September 2017 Review

By April Whitlow

The September 2017 GlossyBox is packed with that ‘Back-to-School’ feeling fresh for September.

GlossyBox this month features some great new grooming staples:

Stylondon Silage Blender – Clear:

These things are all over Youtube.  It was promoted on the previous GlossyBox so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one.  It’s meant to be more hygienic than your typical blender and it doesn’t absorb so much product (you can use 1/2 as much as you normally do!).  It’s easier to clean too, as all you need is warm water and soap.

Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer:

My brows are a whole other animal so this product was pretty much made for me.  After you fill in the gaps with a brow pencil you can use this clear gel to tame the shape all day.  You brush through the brow with the wand in upward and outward strokes, and voila! Perfect brows that stay beautiful put.

Monu Skincare Firming Fiji Facial Oil:

If you love luxe candles like the Diptyque range then you will absolutely fall for this facial oil by Monu Skincare.  It contains a refreshing blend of Bois de Rose and Patchouli essential oils that nourish, calm and protect your skin.  As the season changes it is perfect to replace your usual night creams, but you can use it both at night and during the day.  One or two drops are all you need!

Taylor’s 32 Classic Mint Natural Whitening Toothpaste:

Have to say, I was most excited about this toothpaste.  I was getting tired of the usual toothpaste selection; they all seemed just a bit to chemically sweet and yet if you picked a ‘natural’ option it was often disgustingly flavoured and grainy.  This toothpaste is none of that.  It is fresh and clean with a simple mint taste and yet absolutely smooth and without any sort of grit.  It is made with sodium bicarbonate and silica for stain removal; xylitol and fluoride to reduce plaque; and Vitamin E for you gum’s health.

Skinfix Hand Repair Cream:

This one went straight in my bag!  It is the perfect size for just about any handbag.  It contains natural butters and emollient oils for nourishment; a blend of healing botanicals; and 1% colloidal oatmeal for any eczema.  With all the dry air-conditioning happy buildings in London, this cream is a must for me.
