Windsor Illuminated takes place in the Windsor Great Park and is a great family event. It takes place around christmas time and they have some great light displays there.

I received some press passes so I took my little family for a nice evening out. We took a 40-45 minutes drive to Egham, Windsor and the drive was pretty smooth. The google maps app is our best friend when it comes to reaching destinations we’ve never been to before. Windsor Illuminated Review

My little one has spent most of his life staying indoors because of the pandemic so this was his first proper outing and I must say, he wasn’t very happy about being out and in his buggy for too long.r Windsor Illuminated Review

My older one on the other hand was a bit grumpy but by the end of the evening, he said he really enjoyed it. The next day I picked him up from school and the first thing he asked me was can I please go to Windsor Illuminated again? I said, unfortunately not this year but hopefully next time 🙂 .

I was really impressed by the gift shop that had so many cute things in there which were made in Britain, keeping in mind the english heritage. I picked up 3 little wild life stuffed toys and a Windsor Great Park tote bag as souvenirs.

As we enetered the area, we saw some great displays and people were really enjoying themselves. The smart phones were out. Everyone was making videos and memories.

There were also food and drink vans every now and then so we treated ourselves with some yummy hot chocolate.

There were even vegan options at the food vans which was just amazing!

Take your family to Windsor Illuminated before it ends. Make sure you properly layer up and wear rain boots because the ground was very slushy. The tickets can be purchased HERE.
