1000 Blog Views: How I Got Them In 1 Day

link party

Facebook has never been a strong traffic driving force behind my blog. This is because Facebook gives exposure to only 3% of the fan page likers. So the question is ‘How I Got 1000 Blog Views in 1 Day’?

1000 blog views in 1 day is a huge number and here’s how I achieved this number. As we all know Facebook shows trends in its side bar just like twitter. This is not through hash tags but by mere mention of the trending topic.

One day I just out of the blue shared trending news about a British actress on my Facebook fan page. Within minutes I started getting likes and comments under that post.

This gave me an idea. I thought why not write about the trending topics on my blog and share it on Facebook through my fan page.

Next time, Eastenders was trending on Facebook and I thought the news was quite exciting for my readers so I wrote about it on my blog. I had to do it very quickly so I didn’t care about the number of words or the ‘SEO essentials’ as I would like to call it. The news was about a behind-the-scenes video that had gone viral. I got over 500 unique views for this post. Not only that, I also got more likes on my fan page.

I simultaneously posted 2 more news on my blog that brought loads of traffic to my blog in just 1 day. This way I got not just 1000 blog views but well over that.

Some Tips About Posting News

– Do not write it on a new page but as a new post on your blog.

– Do not share url of the news but instead share your blog homepage url. Visitors should be able see the post on your homepage and then click on it. Otherwise the bounce rate will become disrupted.

– Write about the news trending about your country. e.g I get more traffic by sharing news about Britain rather than Hollywood or America.

– Do not share your blog link without posting the news on your blog. Otherwise it will be considered as spam and people will be able to report it to Facebook.

-Make sure the news is relevant to your blog.

After the topic stopped trending, I made the posts private as they were no longer relevant, but you can leave them as they are.
